How To Properly Fit Wedding Shoes
Finding wedding shoes that correctly fit your feet is the key to have a comfortable walk on the aisle. Here are a few tips on how to fit shoes correctly.
1. As you grow older, the size of your feet grows. Thus, it is important to have your feet accurately measured before buying any footwear.
2. A good rule of the thumb is to measure your feet at the end of the day. By this time, your feet have expanded to its fullest. Also remember that most humans have one foot slightly larger than the other. Therefore, use the bigger measurement number when determining shoe size.
3. Do not choose shoes by the size that is marked on its box or inside its sole. It is better to actually wear the footwear to determine how it fits your foot.
4. When fitting closed-toe bridal shoes, there should be around half an inch between your longest toe and the tip of the shoe when you stand up.
5. The ball of your foot must comfortably and easily into the widest part of the shoe.
6. Your heel should fit the shoe with a smallest amount of slipping. Walk around; your shoes should not move up and down your heel as you walk.
7. Unless you are purchasing rock climbing shoes, do not buy footwear that feels too tight. Overly tight shoes can cause blister.
8. Once fitted, walk around the store to make sure they feel right and comfortable. Walk up and down the stairs or shift your stance to ensure that the fit is a suitable for you.
